Shifting Requires An Invitation

I was raised in the generations and times where it took a village. Where everyone helped and looked out for each other. We are now so inclined to want to do everything on our own. Not that it is not required sometimes to move in certain ways by yourself but we are designed to not do life alone. Genesis 2:18 “The LORD God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.”
And while the focus of this scripture was providing a helpmeet for Adam, I feel like it was also an invitation for us to allow the Holy Spirit to help us in our life decisions. That we should be inviting the Holy Spirit in to offer guidance, suggestions; and/or clues if you will, in how we are to move in our day-to-day interactions.
That we are seeking God to help us navigate through this world that is constantly ever changing. As I embark into the next phase of my life and turn 50, I am extremely grateful for those who I not only do life with but that I am allowing God to orchestrate my life and my decisions.
How are you inviting the Holy Spirit into your life?
